Everybody’s Theater Company is holding auditions for both our Miscast Cabaret and the special event Charlie & Friends.
For Miscast, we’re returning to a popular twist: singers present the numbers they’d NEVER be able to perform in the originating show. It’ll be a fun evening of gender-bending, age-inappropriate, and “against type” performances on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25.
Charlie and Friends will be a special performance by accomplished music director and pianist Charlie de Mets and a small group performing his favorite Broadway numbers. There are two performances scheduled on Saturday, March 25 at 2:00PM and 7:30PM.
If you are auditioning for Miscast only, please prepare one song that fits our theme of subverting the traditional casting for the numbers performed. If your gender, age, or type doesn’t fit the song, but your performance is going to SLAY, that’s the song you want to pick! For example, imagine “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” being sung by a pair of 80-year-old performers. Duets and trios are welcome.
If you are auditioning for Charlie and Friends only, please prepare a solo Broadway number that showcases your talent and ability. We are looking for EIGHT versatile and skilled singers who can learn several pieces quickly and perform them flawlessly.
If you are auditioning for BOTH productions – please prepare a song for Miscast as instructed above.
If you are auditioning for Miscast with a duet or trio, and wish to ALSO be considered for Charlie & Friends, you will need to prepare a solo number and sign up for a second audition slot.
