The classic Yuletide story gets a 1940s twist as a radio play, complete with on-the-spot music and live sound effects. ETC’s small cast plays over 30 roles from Charles Dickens’ beloved novella.

Howard Blum (GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT, POOLE, OLD JOE) has made multiple appearances with ETC since its inception, and most recently singing in the quartet Honorable Menschen during ETC’s October Cabaret. Howard has appeared in numerous theatrical productions throughout the Township, Chestnut Hill and greater New York areas. His day-job is consulting for the chemical industry.

Ben Brown (GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST, NEPHEW FRED, MERCHANT) is excited to be performing with ETC again! You may have seen him as Adam in ETC’s production of Children of Eden in 2021. Ben just graduated Upper Dublin High School in June, where some of his favorite roles included Percy Jackson in The Lightning Thief and Doody in Grease. Most notably, Ben was a nominee and a finalist for one of the Broadway League’s Jimmy Awards in 2021 and 2022. Ben thanks Mom, Dad, Abbey, Will, the Shon family, and Ms. G. for this and every performance.

Jim Fryer (ANNOUNCER, MARLEY’S GHOST, MERCHANT, GUEST) is making his second appearance with ETC, having played “The Monster” in Young Frankenstein. Other recent roles include Col. Jessep in A Few Good Men, King Henry in The Lion in Winter and Sir Toby Belch in Jenkintown Music Theater’s Twelfth Night, The Musical.

 

Sarah Leakey (FAN, MRS. DILBER, MERCHANT, GUEST) has been a part of Everybody’s Theater Company since 2016 and is an alumni of UDHS. Sarah is a Vice President on the ETC board. She loves to perform at other theaters in the area, as well as helping in multiple productions for ETC throughout the year. When she is not doing theater in her free time she loves photography and works as a preschool teacher for KinderCare in Hatboro!

Joel Rosenwasser (BOB CRATCHIT, MR. FEZZIWIG, MERCHANT) is happy to be performing again with ETC.  He trained in New York City at HB Studio, and has performed, produced and directed in several theatre companies around Philadelphia.  Favorite roles include The Producers (Roger De Bris), Anything Goes (Moonface Martin), Mary Poppins (George Banks), Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow), Seussical (Mr. Mayor), All My Sons (Chris), Annie  (Rooster), Grease (Danny Zuko), Oliver! (Mr. Sowerberry), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey 2),  and Diary of Anne Frank (Peter Van Daan.)

Gina Schwoerer (BELLE, MARTHA & BELINDA CRATCHIT, CHARWOMAN, GUEST) is happy to be performing again with Everybody’s Theater Company! Previously with ETC, she was in the ensemble in Sweeney Todd, played the role of Belle in A Christmas Carol Radio Play, and has performed in their various cabarets. Her most recent roles include Squeaky Fromme in Assassins at Footlighters Theater, and Sandy Cheeks in The Spongebob Musical at Footlighters. When she’s not performing, she plays the role of a preschool teacher in Philly. Enjoy the show! 🙂

Leah Sirota Headshot

Leah Sirota (SOUND EFFECTS) is so thankful for ETC – she has been a part of ETC shows since the beginning (2014) when she was just 9 years old! Favorite ETC roles included Sally in Charlie Brown Christmas, Oaken in Frozen, and Aphra in Children of Eden. At Burn Brae Day Camp, where Leah is now a theater counselor, she enjoyed playing many different roles over the years such as Fiona in Shrek, Miss Dorothy in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Annie in Annie. She is also a stage manager at Upper Dublin High School. And now, Leah is excited to show off a new skill – making sound effects for a Radio Play!

Landon Stahl (TINY TIM, CAROLER) is excited to be performing with ETC for the first time! As a budding actor, Landon had his first musical theater experience this past summer with Upper Moreland Middle School’s Summer Arts Camp. In March he will be playing the part of Iago in Aladdin Kids at Highland Elementary School. In addition to acting, Landon also enjoys playing the trumpet, playing video games, and being a member of Cub Scout Pack 304.

Xander Stahl (PETER CRATCHIT, BUCK, YOUNG CAROLER) is excited to be back with ETC performing A Christmas Carol: Radio Play again! And this time, in person! In addition to portraying Tiny Tim in the virtual edition, Xander has been in several musicals with different groups in his 13 years. Two of his favorites are Michael Banks in Mary Poppins and as Rafiki in The Lion King Jr. In February you can see Xander as Mr. Bucket in Willy Wonka Jr. at Abington Middle School. When he’s not acting, Xander sings with The Pennsylvania Youth Chorale, plays tenor sax, and is a member of Boy Scout Troop 437.

Noa Sussan (SOUND BOARD OPERATOR) is crewing on her first ETC show. She began working on sound at Upper Dublin High School her freshman year, and has participated in five of their productions since.

Patrick Sutton (EBENEZER SCROOGE) has been performing in local theatres and cabarets in and around the Delaware Valley since 2006. He first collaborated with ETC in 2018, where he played Sweeney Todd in their production of the show. His most recent project was at Footlighters in Berwyn, PA, where he played John Wilkes Booth in their production of Assassins. Patrick is happy to be reunited with his ETC family for A Christmas Carol.

Judy Thalheimer (NARRATOR, MRS. CRATCHIT) feels lucky to be appearing in her thirteenth ETC production! Some favorite roles include Audrey in Kentucky Lemonade, Maryanne in Turkey Baby, Heidi Heine in Murder at the Bingo Hall, and Betty in Sure Thing. She would like to thank Debbie for getting her back on the stage after a long, long haitus, David for making it all happen, and her husband, Jeff, for encouraging her to do what she loves.

Debbie Thompson (ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/STAGE MANAGER) a retired Upper Dublin High School theater teacher and director is a co-founder of Everybody’s Theater Company. Since moving to Upper Dublin in 1990, Debbie has directed and produced over 90 theatrical productions. Debbie is thankful for her involvement with ETC that allows her to continue to share her love of theater. Debbie is grateful for having the opportunity to work with the talented actors and production crew on A Christmas Carol.

 

David Toll (DIRECTOR, SOUND EFFECTS) is a cofounder of Everybody’s Theater Company, handling the technical aspects of production. In the late 1970s he owned a stage lighting company in Syracuse, New York that worked with Santana, The Police, The Grateful Dead, Loverboy, STYX, the Marshall Tucker Band and many others. He has designed sets, light, video and sound for over 100 productions. David is thankful for the support and understanding of his family.

Tammy Tuckey (LAMB, HELEN, CAROLER) is excited to be a part of her first radio play and working with ETC again!
